blackberry peak: collage samples

I haven't done Blackberry peak posts in a while, so here are a few snaps of random collages I've done, not so recently.  I haven't worked on my collage scrapbook since summer, & miss it, because it triggers a lot of creativity.  Once I find the motivation, I will create more pages based on trends & my fashion icons.  What I like about making personal collages is that instead of disposing old magazines, I create my own images and organize my thoughts into a certain theme, or even just a cluster of random pieces.  For instance, in the 5th photo, the bottom of the cupcake is a cut out of a dress photo. I recommend it to anyone who finds some time to themself along with a little patience. Umbrella-Ella-Ella

The faint drops of rain outside my window sound like fingers tapping on a table.  Dominating clouds keep shifting enough to reveal just a glimpse of light blue sky.  Gentle drops turning into sudden thrusts against the roof alone, make me love Sunday afternoons.  Instead of shielding under an umbrella, I'm in the comfort of my room ready to watch the Oscars.  I watch the Academy Awards every year, in appreciation of movies and red carpet fashion. 

The uncertainty of the weather in March -my birthday month-is relevant to me.  My days seem to be in touch with the ambiguous circumstances life has to offer - the calmer drizzles, and the heavier drops.  However, although I'm not a predicting weatherwoman, nor Mother Nature, I do have an umbrella to substain me with just enough support.  This isn't Rihanna's version of an umbrella, it's mine.  It's the sense of awareness in the presence, the suttle efforts of adjustment to a demanding and inconsistent enviornment.  My umbrella consists of the pleasures most comparable to the song, "My Favorite Things" in response to the stormy weather and lighting in the classic, The Sound of Music. 

Simply remember your favorite things, be a little selfish... then you don't feel so bad*

Mundane Monday

Just woke up from a nap, & I feel pretty dazed after a day of staying home & studying. I'm currently rejuvinating with music & tea.

It's Raining, It's Pouring...

I've disliked the rain since my accident last month, which was conveniantly in the midst of a rainy finals week. My campus gets flooded with puddles on wet days & I end up with soggy wet feet. Finally home after the first day in the new semester, I blow-dryed my toes, had soup, followed by some freshly baked cake.

I thought I'd post this picture from Prada's lookbook for SS '10, which is currently my desktop background & because after the rain comes a rainbow?..or so it goes.
